Employee Payroll

Habersham County School District offers competitive employee salaries.

Regular assessments of positions and pay practices are performed to ensure marketplace comparability and equality within the district.  The Board of Education approves all certified and classified employee Salary Schedules annually as part of the fiscal year budget process.  Approved salary schedules are posted here for the purposes of explaining and deriving salaries and do not constitute an offer of employment.

Pay day is the last working day of each month.  Exceptions may be granted for November, December, January and June based on available revenue.

New hire employees receive a Salary Sheet at the New Hire Orientation meeting.  School system employees receive a salary sheet annually in July, August, or September, as applicable.

Payroll Calendars are posted each fiscal year detailing the pay period dates, the cutoff dates, and pay dates. An Employee Work Calendar is also posted each year showing the first work day and the last work day for each position in the school system.
