Habersham County School District offers a comprehensive employee benefits package.
Employee benefits are a very important part of the total employment package you receive – employer paid benefits add an additional 30% or more of your salary to your overall total compensation from the district. The Board of Education is committed to continually reviewing and evaluating employee benefits and each individual type of insurance to ensure employees have the best coverage available at the lowest cost for themselves and their families.

HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITS
The State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP), managed by the Georgia Department of Community Health, is the health insurance coverage option for all eligible certified and classified employees of the school system.

The Employee Voluntary Insurance Benefit Package for all active, eligible employees of the school system is comprised of: Short Term Disability; Long Term Disability; Basic Life and AD&D; Voluntary Term Life Insurance & AD&D; Dental; Vision; Whole Life Insurance; Critical Illness and Cancer; Health Care Flexible Spending Account; and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account plans.
