Consolidated LEA Improvement Plan

Habersham County Schools (Local Education Agency) annually invites all stakeholders to participate in developing a Consolidated LEA Improvement Plan (CLIP).

The CLIP integrates requirements for planning across all Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) programs. The CLIP has five major components: 1) District Comprehensive Needs Assessment, 2) District Improvement Plan, 3) District Parent and Family Engagement Plan, 4) Migrant Identification and Recruitment Plan, and 5) Foster Care Transportation Plan.

It's time for our district to start our Comprehensive Needs Assessment for our FY25 District Improvement Plan/Consolidated LEA Improvement Plan (CLIP).

The CLIP outlines how we will coordinate our supplemental federal fund sources to meet identified student needs in the district. We want to strategically use our funds to ensure "Success for ALL Students". The comprehensive needs assessment is used to inform improvement planning and budgeting. Your input is valued. The next Consolidated LEA Improvement Plan meeting will be held on March 20, 2024 at 6 PM at the HCS Technology Center at 165 Raider Circle, Mt. Airy, GA 30563.  Everyone is invited to attend.

All stakeholders are also invited to update the Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy. This policy establishes the district's expectations for quality family engagement and guides the strategies and resources that will build school-parent partnerships. It describes the district's commitment to partner with families in the education of their children and to strengthen the ability of schools to implement activities that support children in achieving academic success. The meeting will take place on March 13, 2024 at 6 PM at the HCS Technology Center, 165 Raider Circle, Mt. Airy, GA 30563.

The CLIP must be approved annually by the state in order for our schools to receive funding from these state and federal programs. If you need additional information, please contact Dr. Renee York, Director of Federal Programs at 706-778-2020, ext. 105.
