Hazel Grove Identified as a Title I Reward School
Hazel Grove Elementary
Wednesday, November 07, 2012

Hazel Grove has been identified by the State of Georgia as a Reward School, meaning that we are among the 79 Highest Performing Title I schools of almost 1500, in Georgia, under the new state accountability waiver.

A “Highest-Performing School” is one that is among the 5% of  Title I schools in the State that has the highest absolute performance over three years for the “all students” group on the statewide assessments. A Highest-Performing School must have made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for the “all students” group and all of its subgroups in 2011. A school may not be classified as a Highest-Performing School if there are significant achievement gaps across subgroups that are not closing in the school.

Congratulations to our students, parents, faculty, and staff for a job well done.  Let's continue the good work!
