About Habersham County Schools

The Habersham County School System is located in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Northeast Georgia.  Nationally renowned as a favorite retirement area, the county is a two hour drive from the Smoky Mountains and less than two hours from Atlanta via Highway 365. Habersham County is the proud home of beautiful Tallulah Falls, the largest canyon east of the Mississippi River.

The school system has an enrollment of 6,900 students.  A continuum of educational services is available to all students through an instructional program which ranges from kindergarten through secondary level, as well as extensive opportunities for those with special needs.
