Audible -- Currently free audio source to hear many books




Epic! -- Free Online Books for Ages 12 & Under -- Teacher accounts are FREE and Students can have free access by using your classroom code.


This app is also available through Clever.


Open eBooks -- This app can be downloaded on a phone or ipad. .  Students must have an access code and pin number which can be requested from the media specialist at your school.  Through this app, students have access to a library of books for their level.  Elementary Collection: Grades PreK-4, Middle School Collection:  Grades 5-8, and High School Collection: Grades 9-12



Project Gutenburg -- -- Access through the website to many free classic novels.  No username or password needed.  eBooks can be downloaded in a variety of formats for your devices.

Where do I find books?  Login, then choose the link to “Browse by Type”, choose “Books and Book Reviews,”  Many choices (here’s one to consider - some only give recommendations):

 Ebooks on EBSCO host -- you can search by topic, I just scrolled down and hit search -- lots of choice! Example:


JLG - Junior Library Guild free online Book Service


 Storyline Online -- -- This resource would be great for a class read aloud.  Post a link in your Google Classroom to one of these picture books being read by a celebrity.

This is the Georgia Public Libraries.  They have ebooks BUT you have to have an account/Pines card.
