Students at Hilliard Wilbanks Middle School just completed a unit on the Holocaust. Some of the activities included writing a research paper on a topic relating to the Holocaust, studying about the events, important terms and people of the Holocaust, and viewing interviews of survivors of the Holocaust. 8th grade Language Arts Teacher Mrs. Donna Roberts explained, "As an end to the unit, students created butterflies (a symbol of the 1.5 million children killed in the Holocaust), which will be displayed in an exhibit at the Houston Museum in Texas".
